Don Nisbet

Don Nisbet is the founder/developer of Villas Playa Grande. He started his financial career (USA) in 1983 as an account executive with the firm Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. (now Morgan Stanley, Inc.), and has held various positions including Vice-President at Shearson Lehman Brothers (now Solomon Smith Barney) and Vice- President of Investments at A.G. Edwards & Sons. In addition to overseeing the operation at Villas Playa Grande, Don is the President of 1031TICBrokers.com, and the President of Retirement Consultants & Asset Management in California. In 2003, Don wrote a book about job changes and retirement. In his book, Costa Rica is one of the destinations he mentions in Chapter 13: Cheap and Exotic Places to Retire.

Don has traveled extensively throughout Costa Rica. Through Villas Playa Grande Don will offer full and fractional real estate ownership opportunities. On The Personal Side

For those of you concerned about how "safe" it is in Costa Rica- At the age of sixteen, Don allowed his son Brad to spend the summer of 2004 living in Playa Grande with his two friends. The experience was so positive he went back for the summer of 2005. Brad entered his freshman year of college in the fall of 2005 in Santa Barbara, CA. (See images)

Don’s older boy Eric has made several journeys to Costa Rica, the first in 1996-to Playa Grande!

Upon graduation from college, Eric moved to Playa Grande. While in Grande he met a girl on vacation from Los Angeles-and it wasn’t long before he was back to California. Eric now lives in Manhattan Beach, CA and his utilizing his education. (See images)

Don didn’t think it was fair to talk, write or initiate a project in Costa Rica without immersing himself in the culture, and understanding the systems and services that the country had to offer. In 2004 and 2005 Don had dental work performed in San Jose, CR., and the quality and professionalism exceeded all expectations. The results were phenomenal at a fraction of the US prices. In 2005 Don has spent nearly ninety days in Costa Rica evaluating the Villas Playa Grande project, the country and the culture. Villas Playa Grande was initiated after extensive research.
