To anyone contemplating purchasing Efudex from Canada, PLEASE READ THIS!
I did my chest in August of '09, a few months after finishing my face. I DID NOT do it at the same time. After it all healed, I didn't see any improvement in skin tone or texture. BUT I am still glad I did it because I think it did get rid of the early stage BCC I had there (see pics below). In January of this year (2010) I actually did a second round of Efudex application, but had no effect whatsoever after 2 weeks- no redness, no crusting, nothing! What was particularly interesting about my chest was that it didn't react in the same way that my face did. My face got much worse (in appearance) AFTER I stopped applying the Efudex. I think it was about day 9 or so afterwards that my face got really icky, scabby, crusty. But my chest started improving immediately upon stopping the Efudex. My face only had a two week application, on my chest I did 4 weeks (both twice a day). ![]() From left to right: Before pic, Day 10, Day 14
![]() Day 28- it bled because I picked at it! Don't pick at yours! ............................................................................................................................................

Day 14 - Some itchiness, but no burning. The spots are getting very dark.

Day 17 - Still a itchy at times, but no burning.

Day 28 - Itchy. Very rough and crusty, some bleeding. No discomfort, just looks bad. I've officially stopped the Efudex application as it's been 4 weeks. Will be interesting to see if it gets worse over the next two weeks like my face did. I can't wait to see my beautiful post-efudex skin!!
